Kitchen Remodeling in Potomac, MD

Your kitchen is outdated or falling apart — we gut it and rebuild it the way it should have been from the start.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Your kitchen was designed for a different decade

Dark cabinets, laminate countertops, and a layout that puts the refrigerator where it makes no sense — none of it matches how you cook or entertain. A gut remodel isn't about cosmetics; it's about rebuilding the room around the way your household actually works.

The layout forces you to cook with your back to the room

A galley or peninsula layout that made sense in the 1980s now feels isolating. You want to be part of the conversation while you're cooking, not exiled behind a wall. Reconfiguring the layout — sometimes moving a wall — opens the kitchen to the living space and changes how the whole first floor feels.

The cabinets are falling apart and storage is impossible

Hinges that won't stay, drawers that stick, shelves that sag — and somehow still not enough storage. New cabinetry designed around your actual inventory of pots, pantry items, and small appliances solves the storage problem and makes the kitchen look like it belongs in your home.

You're losing counter space every time you cook

One cutting board and suddenly there's nowhere to set anything down. A remodel that extends or reconfigures the counter run — adding an island, removing an unused peninsula, or extending along a wall — gives you the working surface that changes how cooking feels.

The plumbing and electrical are an ongoing problem

Insufficient outlets, a range hood that doesn't vent properly, a dishwasher on the same circuit as the garbage disposal — older Potomac homes often have kitchens that were renovated cosmetically but never re-wired or re-plumbed. A gut remodel addresses the infrastructure, not just the surface.

How a project with us works

  1. 1
    Design consultation and scope

We walk the existing kitchen, discuss layout goals and pain points, and identify what's staying (appliances, window positions) and what's going.

  2. 2
    Demo and rough-in

Cabinet and flooring removal, then plumbing and electrical rough-in to the new layout. We keep dust contained and the rest of the house livable.

  3. 3
    Cabinet installation and countertop template

Cabinets are installed level and plumb. Countertop template is cut after cabinets are set — not before — so the fit is exact.

  4. 4
    Tile, backsplash, and appliance connections

Flooring and backsplash go in, then appliances are connected and tested before we close out rough-in inspections.

  5. 5
    Trim, paint, and final walkthrough

Crown molding, toe kicks, paint, and hardware. You walk through and identify anything that isn't right before we consider the job complete.
