Bathroom Renovation in Potomac, MD

Cracked tile, failing grout, or a bath that's just never been right — we strip it down and rebuild it properly.

Does any of this sound familiar?

The shower leaks and the wall is already damaged

Grout fails, caulk cracks, and water finds its way behind the tile. By the time you notice the problem, the drywall or subfloor underneath is already compromised. A gut remodel pulls everything out — tile, pan, backing — and rebuilds the shower with a proper waterproof system that won't fail again in three years.

The master bath doesn't match the rest of the house

You've updated the kitchen and the living areas, but the master bath is still 1990s tile and a vanity that looks like it came from a builder's warehouse. The gap between the rest of your home and the bathroom gets harder to ignore every morning.

There's only one bathroom and it doesn't work for the whole family

A single shared bath is manageable until it isn't — morning routines, guests, teenagers. Adding a second bath or converting a half-bath to full isn't always possible, but reconfiguring the existing bath to be more functional (double vanity, better storage, separate toilet area) can change how the household operates.

The ventilation is so bad the ceiling is growing mold

A bathroom fan that doesn't actually vent outside, or one that isn't powerful enough for the room size, creates a moisture problem that shows up as mold on the ceiling and eventually in the wall cavity. A renovation corrects the ventilation along with the finishes.

You want a walk-in shower but the tub you never use is in the way

The soaking tub looked good in the listing photos but you've used it twice. Meanwhile the shower is cramped and the room feels smaller than it should. Converting the tub alcove to a walk-in shower with proper bench seating and a frameless door transforms a bathroom that felt outdated into one that feels intentional.

How a project with us works

  1. 1
    Assessment and scope

We inspect the existing bath, check for hidden moisture damage, and confirm what the plumbing and electrical can support before you commit to a design.

  2. 2
    Demo and moisture remediation

Full strip-out of tile, fixtures, and backing. Any moisture damage to framing or subfloor is addressed before anything new goes in.

  3. 3
    Waterproofing and backer installation

Cement board or waterproofing membrane installed to the correct spec before any tile work begins — this is the step most cosmetic remodels skip.

  4. 4
    Tile, fixtures, and vanity

Floor and wall tile set, then plumbing fixtures and vanity installed. We coordinate the order so trim work isn't damaged by trade sequencing.

  5. 5
    Final inspection and walkthrough

Grout sealed, fixtures tested, exhaust fan confirmed venting to exterior. Walkthrough with you before we consider the project closed.
