Exterior Dryer Vent Cover Installation — Charlotte, NC

A properly installed exterior dryer vent cover is the last line of defense against pests, moisture, and backdrafting. On this Charlotte project, the existing vent cover was damaged and no longer sealing correctly.

Marcus replaced the cover with a new louvered exterior vent cap that closes when the dryer isn't running, keeping out birds, insects, and rain. The new cap was sealed with exterior-grade caulk for a weathertight finish.

A small job — but one that protects the dryer vent system and prevents moisture from working back into the wall cavity.
